  1. Rituals for writing?

Well I go to a Brooklyn style coffee shop in Madison called The Victory. I get my iced Americano (or hot coffee depending on the weather), sit down at a corner table with my iPad and a notebook/pen in case something comes to mind I want to save for later, and my iPod in case the music they’re playing in the store doesn’t mesh with the scene I’m working on. Or if the customers/baristas are being particularly loud. ;)

  2. Ritual?? Don’t really have one but I do like to read somewhere that’s comfy. Now writing… when I do my reviews I get the book, grab my notes, and sit at the computer then prayer I can actually write something, lol.
I do love to have a Starbucks tea or coke when I read and some kind of treat chips, candy, even an apple. I’m not that picky but if I don’t have something to drink or eat I’ll pass out cause when I start I not moving til it’s done!!

  3. I don’t have a ritual so much as a Constant Bookmark that’s slept around with a couple hundred books by now. Sadly, it’s incompatible with my e-reader…

Seriously, I keep my iPod and my current book with me whenever I leave the house. At a restaurant – read while waiting for food or while eating. Riding (not driving!) in a car – read on the road. There’s almost always some opportunity to squeeze in a chapter or two. Then, when I get home, I can keep the book by the bed and read before I go to sleep.

  4. I curl up on my couch to read in the evenings. During the day I listen to audio books while I’m entering data at work and when I am driving. Don’t want to miss any opportunity to read! And of course I shop for purses that will fit a paperback book :)
